Reefview is a website for educational resources about local marine species aimed towards early childhood educators that seeks to promote the integration of local marine species in Apo Reef into Early Childhood Education by providing accessible and understandable marine biodiversity learning resources. The project, made for thesis along with Pilar Prieto and Mayumi Primero, provides a convenient platform to learn more and access different teaching materials about marine biodiversity, specifically in Apo Reef. This website compiles different resources such as handouts, worksheets, videos, songs, and other multimedia presentations.

Reefview Logo

The website, which targets early childhood educators, makes use of a bright, fun, spunky palette that is reminiscent of the colors of coral reefs found in the Apo Reef area. The logo is largely inspired by these reefs.

Mascot & Illustration

To give the educational website more life in order to inspire early childhood educators, mascots and appealing characters were used, such as “Bino” the pink dolphin. The website heavily uses different illustrations of different marine life which acts as an easier way to introduce Apo Reef species and marine concepts without being too intimidating.
